Joining a network in SUSE linux.

ffuturesThe Shiny(ish) is now connected to my wireless network but while the web browser works I can't access the printer or network file server - there doesn't seem to be any way to enter the network name etc., which I would have thought was a first step.
Anyone know where I should be looking?
