notes:

[1] Only ever saw the first ten or twelve episodes on TV, but the DVD collections turn up in charity shops fairly often and I now have the complete run - really must watch them some time...
[2] On laserdisc, not DVD, but I'll assume it counts.
[3] Missed this one completely when it was shown on TV, bought the DVD later.

Very good list, although it really more like the best TV shows of the last two decades, with a few older ones thrown in. Personally I would replace "Prison Break" with "Wiseguy" and "Family Guy" with "The Venture Brothers" and find some way to get the brilliant "Homicide," "Sleeper Cell" and "Rome" onto the list.

I'm not surprised that you've seen so many of these Marcus. I highly recommend seeking out "The Wire" and "Arrested Development," they both contain many treasures.

(1) There are some things she owns that I end up having to watch...
(2) and the smaller one for that matter.
(3) Erm, on VHS actually but good enough to own counts I guess.
(4) Would own if the DVD's were cheaper.
(5) Although Wild Palms which was made later and in much the same vein I watched avidly.
