I read Larklight last year, got Starcross in December then managed to mislay it before reading it, sort of forgot about it, then picked up Mothstorm a few days ago, which reminded me to find Starcross and finally read it. And I am enjoying it immensely.
I hope, then that you have all read his Mortal Engines (Hungry City Chronicles) series aswell? I can't get enough of Mr Reeve. I can also heartily recommend Here Lies Arthur - his more 'down to earth' take on the Arthurian legend. All, excellent stuff.
Mr Rowland, if you were to do an RPG based on either Larklight or The Hungry City chronicles, I'd be first in the queue with a preorder! :)
There was an hilarious piece in Mothstorm where Reeve describes a fairly complex facial expression and defies Mr Wyatt to draw it, which he promptly does with an indignant comment (I'm trying to remember - I don't have the book handy) - and it's pretty spot-on too :)
Not much chance of that - I think serious sums of money would be involved, and I don't have the resources to do it to the sort of standard I think it deserves.
I've read Mortal Engines and the second of the series, but didn't like them as much as I like Larklight etc.

Next page - Myrtle in her nightgown!
