Mistaken Identity XIV

"I have seventeen hostages," shouts the Joker. "Any sign of Batman, they die!"

"You'll kill them anyway," says the teenager a thug is holding.

"Then I'll start with you."

"Naturally." Ignoring his shots she breaks the thug's grip effortlessly, takes his gun, puts two bullets into the Joker's head, then one into each thug's leg. Metal gleams under her wounds.

After they fall she says "Go!" to the hostages; "You will stay" to the thugs.

"I have six prisoners," shouts Cameron. "I will kill them all unless I have proof that the artificial intelligence known as Oracle has been destroyed...

End

For the perplexed: Oracle has sometimes posed as an AI. Which makes her an obvious target, however mistakenly, in the Terminator: SCC universe.

funny, couldn't have happened to a better person. But which proof can you get, that an ai is destroyed?. Would it not be better to ask for the location of the ai virtual and/or physical?

Hmmmm... point one, the Joker always *wants* Batman to show up so they can continue to play their game. "I'll kill one a minute *until* Batman shows up" is much more likely.

Point two, if Cameron believes Oracle to be an AI, what's her reasoning for thinking that Oracle or its creator will value the thugs' lives over Oracle's existence? Actually, if Oracle were an AI and had been Asimoved to that extent, it would fall into the category of AIs that couldn't logically become Skynet in the future...
