I realised yesterday that I'd never finished scanning Did She Fall?, Thorne Smith's murder mystery. The reason is pretty simple; I was a couple of chapters into it back in 2006 when I finally gave up on getting permission to write a Smith-inspired fantasy RPG1, and never got around to finishing the scan.

So I did three or four chapters last night, finished scanning the book this afternoon, and with a bit of luck will get the HTML sorted in the next few days. As far as I know I still can't publish an RPG or put it on the FF CD-ROM, there would be too many problems with disks sent to America, but I might as well put it on my web site.

If anyone has actually been waiting for the book, my apologies - with luck it will be on line pretty soon.

1The last time I looked most of Smith's work was still in copyright in the USA, because it was renewed in the fifties, but out of copyright in Europe and most of the rest of the world because he died more than 70 years ago. His family were still actively engaged in controlling the copyright, and I couldn't reach an agreement with them about distributing an RPG in the USA. I have no idea if this situation has changed at all.
