I want to try to write a bit more of Wolfbane and finally thought of a way to get the plot moving again. For this I need lawyers.

Possibly a stupid question - are Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters the only "hero-friendly" lawyers in the Marvel universe? Would either or both of them be practicing circa 2005-6? Who else should I be looking at?

Jen's currently disbarred, but I think she was okay around 2006 working for Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway. If you want another lawyer, her worst enemy (and co-worker) would be Mallory Book.

Thanks - I'll look her up.

Hmm, I'm not sure about Matt Murdoch in 2006, you might want to check the Wiki page. I know that at some point around then, he was in prison for a while, but not sure of the year.

And I can't think of any other lawyers at the moment, sorry! Wolfram and Hart? ;)

They're on the radar as potential bad guys in this story, Nina isn't going to want them to represent her!

I suppose there's always Matt's partner Foggy Nelson, but again you'd have to check his availability as he was briefly presumed dead during the time Daredevil was in prison! Maybe easier to stick with Jennifer Walters. Plus I imagine she'd be quite fun to write :)

Yeah, the firm that used to employ Jen Walters is probably the best bet - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodman,_Lieber,_Kurtzberg_%26_Holliway

If they won't take a case for some reason, there's Jeryn Hogarth, who was corporate counsel for Danny Rand (Iron Fist) for years. And even though I believe both Jen and Matt Murdock have been disbarred, Foggy Nelson (Matt's old partner) may still be practicing on his own.

Actually, circa 2005-2006, both Jen and Matt are still practicing, I believe.

Also, given the nature of the crossover, is there anything saying that Wolfram & Hart NY is required to take *only* scumbags as clients, or can they take billable hours where they find them?

Given that Nina is the client, and will have had Angel's advice on lawyers, I doubt that she'll want to do business with them.

Well, they do tend to win their cases, but I guess you're right, in that you'd be well-advised to have some *other* lawyers look over even your contract for services with them before letting them represent you.

"In addition to any monetary compensation agreed upon, chargeable hours shall be billed to the client at the rate of one millisoul per hour or fraction thereof charged, with any portion of the client's soul owed to Wolfram & Hart constituting binding and irrevocable agreement to seizure of the client's soul at any time thereafter, at the sole option of Wolfram & Hart."

x-men's lawyer

The X-men have a lawyer, Vange Whedon, who can turn into a dragon when exposed to blood. She normally works with mutants, but could logically be interested in helping another shapeshifter.

Thanks! Not sure I want to go that route, at the moment Book seems to work best.
