Somewhat disappointing...

ffuturesSo I tried making my own Octodogs. Not very easy, but I got three or four cut correctly and boiled. As soon as I tried to arrange the tentacles a couple snapped off. But they did come out looking vaguely like the picture. So I tried eating one...
The trouble is that when it comes down to it, they're fairly bland boiled hotdogs, and not very nice. I was hoping that with some relish etc. they'd be OK, but apparently not, and grilled or fried the tentacles will just go rubbery.
So maybe I won't bother to order an octodog cutter thingy after all...
