This is a really useful site for anything that involves manipulation of "knowledge", e.g. you can ask it what the molecular mass of a chemical is, using its colloquial name, it'll look up the formal name then work out its molecular mass. Or ask it who Batman is, it'll return Bruce Wayne!

Only thing that worries me is the name - if this is wolframalpha, is there a hartomega somewhere?

It is a very hit & miss service. Sometimes I think its answer are brilliant and sometimes they miss the mark by miles.

Agreed, e.g. I asked it what lime water is (e.g. calcium hydroxide solution) and it gave me an estimate of the water in a lime! But when it works it's very useful.

Well, Wolfram is a famous resident of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, and another famous resident is the guy who started Project Gutenberg, Michael S. Hart. Connect the dots yourself.
