Reasons not to like Horatio Caine #666

As may be apparent, I greatly dislike the character of Horatio Caine, and rarely watch CSI Miami. He's a smug git who often seems to look for evidence to support his opinions, not objective facts, and his ethos seems to affect the other characters.

In the episode shown tonight he basically said "Well, this man is guilty of multiple murder but we won't be able to prove it," watched him go free, and then he and another CSI appeared to let someone else kill the murderer without making any attempt to stop it. I may be misunderstanding the last scene, but the final death was VERY predictable.

No love, and I may do something nasty to him in the NCIS / Dexter fic...

Every season of Burn Notice I keep my fingers crossed that Caine shows up & promptly gets shot and/or blown to bits by Fiona & Sam...

(Bruce Campbell did a pretty good impression of Caine last season on BN...)

I don't really watch any of the CSI's now (as opposed to being in the room and watching them when they were being watched, I now go and do something else.) but of the bunch Miami was the worst purely because of Horatio 'look, I'm going to strike a pose and play with my shades _again_' Caine. My greatest wish was for a story line where the kid (because any time there's a kid HC has to go and tell him 'he'll make it all alright') turns out to be the bad guy, or even better is just completely let down because HC fails.

Awful show thanks to that character.

When ever I've managed to watch that show I find that I end up rooting for the bad guy just because Caine is so smug that I want him proven wrong!

Oh dear, it seems that old "Justice Shades" is about to come to a sticky end, but will the Greys from South Park be responsible...?

The only reason to watch CSI:Miami is for source material to use when mocking Caine/Caruso.
