I've seen about 2/3rds of the first episode before giving up. Does it get less sucky in later episodes?

It certainly didn't get any better in the last third of the episode (unless you really, really like Summer Glau).

It's horrible but I think it's going to be a very guilty pleasure for me. ;)

Hijinks Ensue's review of the two episode opener also has had some serious plagiarism issues with it (scenes and even dialogue lifted from Batman Begins).

Well I thought episode 3 had much better dialogue, and seemed darker and edgier, but that may be because the most widely torrented copy of episode 3 had accidentally replaced the audio track with the audio from an episode of Dexter.

The final scene of the second episode is her in a white body suit doing the splits between a couple of dangling ropes in the circus tent. Best bit of the series so far.

(They do seem to be trying to set up some "deeper" background story, but they've been pretty clumsy about it. Looks like Summer is the daughter of the head bad guy.)

I really like Keith David. I kind of wish the show was about Max Malini's Circus of Crime.

Cape seems like it is wasting a lot of good talent with iffy scripts (a la Castle). Cape is better than V (which I gave up on this week) but not nearly as good as Fringe or even the revamped Human Target. Or Archer.

The two episodes following the pilot were disposable. I'll let you know if it gets any better ;-)
