As pointed out by others...

If you see advertisements for Livejournal games on this page, they are not here by my choice, and Livejournal are breaking their promise not to put advertising on pages of permanent account holders. NOT impressed.

A little dubious of them to be wanting us to start playing crappy games by dodgy third party russian game developers. But then, as on facebook...

I've seen others complaining about the same thing. With AdBlock installed, I don't see any, even if I'm logged out so I don't care much but you're absolutely right, you paid for the privilege of not receiving ads (as have I) and there shouldn't be any.
I'm quite sure they will be trying to wriggle themselves out of it because they're advertising LJ features. :/
