Here's the next part of the Batman / BtVS story, with a note which is mainly aimed at reviewers on one or two of the archive sites. Comments please (especially if you think I'm being a little too rude) before I post to archives.


100-word BtVS / Angel / DC crossover Drabble. Minor spoilers. Characters are the property of their respective creators and are used without any intention of infringing copyright. Ninth Symphony

"Well?" Batman asks after ten minutes.

"Still simmering a little," says Oz, strumming Beethoven's Ninth, "But better."

"What are you? My therapist?"

"You get mad, I get mad. You wouldn't like me mad."

"Like that TV show?"

"The Hulk? Kinda."

"So... Faith?"

"You know what she does?"

"Kills people."

"She was kinda... unbalanced."

"She isn't now?"

"She gave herself up, did time."

"She escaped."

"She was needed."

Batman waits.

"Remember the LA blackout, the mass murders? She stopped that."

"Single handed?"

"Almost."

"How?"

"Helped kill the right demon."

"Why her?"

"Becase she's a Slayer."

"A what?"

"A Vampire Slayer."

Author's note: Some of the reviews I'm getting for this sequence have asked me to expand on the stories. Please try to understand that I write Drabbles and stories with Drabble-length chapters because I like this format and find it technically challenging. If I can tell a story in a hundred words, anything more is unnecessary padding. I'm really enjoying these.

As for the authors note I don't think it's to rude at all. Then again, I'll sit on my hands and force myself just to ignore the occasional urge to respond with something to the effect of "Do you get what the hell a drabble is, dimwit?" *grin* The A/N is to the point, non-insulting, not a rant directed at anyone.

An awful lot of people don't seem to get that a drabble is 100 words, and just use it to mean anything fairly short. I tend to come over all fascist at that point ;-)
