Syfy channel is apparently planning a steampunk Warehouse 13 spinoff - set in the late 19th century and focusing on H.G. Wells. Not sure if this is a prequel or an AU, the report isn't clear - if it's a prequel you lose a bit of dramatic tension.

Now if they just teamed her up with the young Helen Magnus (Sanctuary) the whole fanfic universe would implode from the femmeslash...

I don't mind this one bit. Especially as the article confirms that Warehouse 13 will be returning in July (so only a bit over a month with nothing new for me to watch apart from DW).

(But 'dramedy'? It sounds like a truncated camel. Who invents these words?)

I'm still hoping for a Victorian Torchwood spinoff, from that short clip in the main series.

Indeed, I thought that at the time. Seemed to be run by Victorian lesbians, I recall - what would Queen Victoria think!

With femmeslash the way that it is, I suspect that *any* hint of the alleged spin-off will lead to wholesale H/H. With or without links to other London Ladies of the time.

I gather that she had no problem with lesbians, and that legislation brought in during her reign deliberately excluded them from the prohibitions. I've never seen any actual evidence that she was involved, though...

The urban legend as I've heard it is that she refused to sign a law prohibiting lesbianism as she did not believe that women did such things.

Oh, and I remember hearing a version of this play on the radio many years ago:
