OK, that's a depressing story, but the graphics are wonderful. Can't wait to see the 150DPI versions of some of those illustrations.

It's fairly typical of disaster stories of the period, just a bit more wholesale than most.

Is "tiger" the correct word here, some figure of speech?

Thanks - I typed the link as 11.jpg but the name is actually i1.jpg - for some reason Opera just shows the alt text as I, not Photobucket's big icon, so I didn't notice.

You're right about "lie" for "he," it's an OCR error.
