The first one was okay, with moments of Toy Story style nightmare fuel courtesy of sentient cars and appliances being tossed away by their unkowning owners. Think "The Incredible Journey" with household appliances instead of lost pets.

Oh, and just to nitpick, Disney didn't make the make the movies. They were actually animated by an outfit named Hyperion pictures. The House of Mouse just picked up the distribution rights

They are not the same as the story (while obviously based on it, they made a *lot* of changes), we had the VHS tape when my kids were younger. It does have some good voice work though. Decent enough. I didn't know they weren't from Disney, they kind of look like they are.
