Just a reminder that if you're planning to go to the 2005 Worldcon in Glasgow the online room booking service is already up and running. I suspect that some of the cheaper rooms (especially university accommodation) will go pretty quickly - booked mine today, and I know I wasn't the only one.

This has been a public service announcement on behalf of not wanting people to end up sleeping on the streets because they can't afford any of the remaining rooms...

I take it that most rooms in Glasgow are fairly expensive? I'd love to go, but paying for a new central air unit this summerhas put the kibosh on any big travel plans of mine for awhile. Went to the 1990 Worldcon in Orlando--no shortage of cheap hotel rooms there :)

Prices range from £26.50 a night for a single at the university (self catering), £30.20 for a double, to several hundred pounds a night. There's quite a few around the £50-60 mark. The prices for most of them are for the room, not per person, if I'm reading this right, so most aren't too bad if you travel with a friend.
