Speaka da English
Apr. 2nd, 2005 07:15 pmJust watching Doctor Who - they just explained why everyone speaks English, e.g. a telepathic field generated by the TARDIS. Meanwhile someone just made a phone call across several billion years and a couple of people have died horribly. Yay!!

I beleive the 'why they all speak English' question is answered in 'The Mask of Mandragora' in the Tom Baker years.
(I've been watching UK gold a lot, I didn't remember it from that long ago! :-)
Sarah-Jane asks why she can understand Italian and the Doctor tells her it is a 'gift he allows her to share'.
Nice the writers on the new one have been paying attention.
Finally, saturday television is good.
(although they are now going to vote on Strickly Dance Fever, so strike that last remake :-)
