A tour of the crossrail portal under construction at Royal Oak. This was in September - they've since erected a complicated steel structure above the portal, which I think is part of the spoil removal system.

Meanwhile traffic in this area is still massively disrupted - the end of my road will be closed at least another month, the street beside Paddington Station for 2+ years, etc. etc., the roundabout near Paddington Green for at least as long. Fun fun fun!
