An interesting omission

I was trying to think why the cutting end of the Crossrail tunnelling machine looks strange, and it just came to me - it's the only large piece of engineering equipment I've ever seen that has no manufacturer's logo or other insignia on its hull. The reason is pretty obvious - once it starts work nobody will ever see it again, so there's no point.

Looks like they are only at the very front - http://www.crossrail.co.uk/news/press-releases/giant-tunnel-boring-machines-ready-to-start-crossrail-dig - and the company logos are quite small (assuming that's what the BFK logo is). It's probably a contractual thing by the government/TFL to keep it from looking too much like a PPI and allowing them to maximise the publicity for themselves.
