Now that's the sort of episode I like - it made sense, it wasn't solved by magic hand-waving, it didn't recycle an old villain for the umpteenth time, and it was FUN!

Also, the new companions were excellent! Suspect we won't see them again until we have another "the Doctor needs a lot of help" episode, unfortunately. Loved Rory's dad!

That was definitely a lot of fun - and it's rather amusing that an episode in which there are dinosaurs on a spaceship wins points for actually making sense :-)

Though a certain amount of hand waving is needed for the wave-power engines, of course...

For a while there, I thought they'd unwittingly beamed into the Doctor Who version of the hold of the GSV Sleeper Service - a person can dream, right?

Hmmm, I wonder if Moffat could convince Iain M Banks to write an episode...

Rory's dad was Mr. Weasley, and the bad guy was Filch!

I knew the faces seemed familiar but I'm crap at recognizing people and didn't get it until someone else mentioned it.

Solomon was David Bradley; I was thinking "Gosh, he reminds me of Lord Frey in Game of Thrones", which is not surprising as on checking he played him too.

New villain - and yet at the same time a good call back to old bad guys with the Silurians.

And the appearance of Mitchell and Webb as the two robots was a just a wee bit odd.

The comedy sidekick robots were a bit naff, I think, but the story as a whole worked so well I didn't mind.
