That's a good price. The one I mentioned from Lidl is usually 29.99, and is branded as SilverCrest like most of their electronic stuff, but that one looks as if it might be better (and of course is available now, rather than "when Lidl are in the mood").
No. It is the one I have, though. Not the "ultrathin" product, and it does not have a clever magnetic hinge.
I liked the one I have (designed by Zagg, peddled by Logitech, somehow both brands are printed on it, model Y-R0023) for about seven months, right up until the "T" key fell off. It protected my Ipad somewhat, it's very light and handy, and it allowed touch-typing whenever I wanted.
My T can be reattached, but it will fall off again after a while. I am constantly checking to verify that I still have it.
Later, one of the arrow keys fell off, but I reattached it and it has behaved itself ever since.
I second autopope's recommendation for a neoprene sleeve. I found one for about eight bucks with a zippered outside pocket. This is big enough to carry a charger and cable, my Wee Bag O' Mac Dongles,* a microfiber cloth to caress the touchscreen, and some earbuds. It's also frequently good for retaining the T key when it falls off again.
Dongles I have for the Ipad, perhaps in excess:
One to read a camera's SD card One to attach a USB connector, for cameras and (not officially supported) USB audio input devices One to display video on a HDMI screen One to display video on a VGA screen
As well as:
One extra Apple charger for my bedroom at night Many cheap extra Ipod-to-USB connector cables for home computer, work computer, laptop bag, bedroom charger, and automobile 12v-to-USB charger... they were $1 each at the Dollartree store, so why not sprinkle them around, per Proni's Second Law?
* I'm still hunting for a neoprene sleeve that sports the MacDongle clan's tartan.
What we're recommending is the logitech ultra-thin keyboard cover. That's the older clip-on keyboard cover.
Not recommended because it has a surrounding metal rim that gets in the way when typing. As in, it digs into the ball of you palm when trying to type letters to either side of the space bar. Physically painful to use.
Not the one I recommended. The ultrathin retails for about $100 here in Canada, so it should be about 50 quid new in the UK. Cheaper if you shop online (at least here).
