A little picspam

I haven't taken many photos lately for some reason, and many that I've taken have been things I've done all too many times before, which I won't bore you with. Here's a few others - behind a cut because one of them is another canal panorama and very wide.

We don't have coots up here, but we do have moorhens which I think are pretty close.

Used to be loads of them too, but then for a couple of years running they established their nests too close to the waterline and late spring floods wiped them out. And now they've all vanished, haven't seen a single one in years.

I took some bread out with me today and fed some geese and coots - intense rivalry between them, with the geese hissing at the coots and the coots sqeaking at the geese, and a lot of flapping and lunging.
