Was anyone else aware that Repo Man director Alex Cox made a film called Repo Chick in 2011?

No, me neither until tonight.

Appears to be a VERY low budget production, also selling very cheaply (I got it for £1.61 including P&P), be interesting to see if it's any good.

This is not in any way, shape, or form a sequel to Repo Man, despite most of that film's cast being in it. Apparently there are legal issues - Cox made this movie and made it clear it wasn't a sequel, Universal (who co-own the rights to Repo Man and won't release them) promptly sued him and released a movie called Repo Men.

And these are the people who complain about copyright etc.!

I've heard of Repo Chick but I never got around to watching it; I probably should, since Repo Man is one of those movies I can quote for hours.

Yeah, I read a bit about it in some interview with Cox a year or two ago. Repo Man was my favourite movie as a teen, let us know if it's good.

I love Repo Man, but the next Alex Cox film I saw after it was Straight to Hell and that sucks, so I'm hoping this will be an improvement.
