What fanfic were you reading / writing in these decades (fandoms, favourite ships etc.) and links to stories if possible please?

For example, I know Professionals and Blake's 7 were big in the UK in the 1970s-80s, but I wouldn't know where to look for examples of period writing.

4. 80s Mainly out of fanfic writing fandom. I was trying to write, you know, real fiction. Rediscovered my love of 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea' because they broadcast first season. I have two 'Voyage' stories on line from that period 'Lodestone' (http://archiveofourown.org/works/284857)which is SF action adventure but I reckon my Nelson/Crane OTP shows and 'One Step Ahead' (http://archiveofourown.org/works/284962) which is Nelson/Crane slash,

5. 90s We rediscovered 'Garrison's Gorillas' (and that was because we binged on it while editing a 'Colditz' slash fanzine, not having any other WW2 stuff on VHS.) We published a fanzine 'Gorilla Warfare' and all our stories in it are now on AO3, some slash, some straight. Mine are here (http://archiveofourown.org/users/Lillian_Shepherd/works?fandom_id=110280). I personally ship Garrison/Actor but have co-written Garrison/Chief

We were watching 'Babylon 5' which was too good to write fanfic about, and later 'Buffy', likewise. We read a lot of B7 fic in this period too, because Judith Proctor was republishing a lot of my B7 fic, and also publishing other older zines and excellent contemporary fic.


6. 2000s Pretty much gave up fanfic for the first part. Went back to trying to write fantasy and SF. Didn't read much of it, either, except when asked to edit.

Then there was the first season of 'Primeval'. Back into fanfic. Wrote a couple of stories, read a whole lot more and still read my favourite authors. Mine are here (http://archiveofourown.org/users/Lillian_Shepherd/works?fandom_id=5009) and are gen. However, I do have a number of ships in the fandom, but no OTP. Today the fandom, still going strong,is based at primeval_denial where they would be delighted to rec fic and to explain the huge number of shared original characters...


7. Nowish Back to one of my earliest loves, to wit, 'The Avengers' (Marvel) (I bought the original volume numbers #1-160ish back in the 60s and 70s.) I have always been a Captain America and an an Iron Man fan, and so Cap/Iron Man (Steve/Tony) was made for me. Back to reading huge amounts of fanfic and to writing the stuff. (http://archiveofourown.org/users/Lillian_Shepherd/works?fandom_id=1001939) Started reading the comics again plus DVDs of the cartoons. *sigh*

I also got back into Star Trek and Kirk/Spock with the first reboot. Some excellent stuff there too.
