Charisma Carpenter is amazing, the new story arc looks to be extremely good, baseball guy reminds me disturbingly of Mayor Wilkins (and the daughter has an April vibe), and the end of the episode... it's going to be VERY difficult to top that.

As for the possible supernatural element... well, all I can say is that (a) I'm still not 100% convinced, it could just be Veronica subconsciously noticing the person she talks to and somehow getting that little flash, and (b) if it is, I'm VERY glad that I finished subcontractor well before this season started, and without any knowledge of this part of the plot.
