iPad version of Safari problem
Aug. 17th, 2015 01:54 pmWhen I look at Livejournal with Safari on my Macbook I see my preferred page layouts. Some time in the last few weeks the iPad version has started showing a horrible layout with the right-hand third of the screen wasted showing a calendar I don't want and other crap.
Is there any way to make iPad Safari tell Livejournal it's on a desktop PC or similar? Alternatively, any other browser that will?

draconin's solution, linked in the comments, which fixed things instantly.

Date: 2015-08-17 03:06 pm (UTC)There is a somewhat hidden way to get Safari on iOS to request the desktop version of a site (which might enable the checkbox to switch back to not-broken mode): tap in the address/search field, then pull down on the favorites list to reveal a "Request Desktop Site" tap target.
