Out of the Deep

This 1904 offering is possibly the silliest disaster story I have ever read, with what are definitely the silliest illustrations I've seen in this genre...

Except that the title is only marginally different from the alternative title for John Wyndham's "The Kraken Wakes", and the plot has more than a few points of similarity. While I doubt that Wyndham consciously plagiarised it, a case could be made that it's a substantial influence.

Let me know what you think, especially any typos etc. you find.
