More evidence of approaching doom

Got my Senior Railcard today (a discount on national rail services; the 60+ Oyster card I got the other day is free travel on London underground and buses). Again it seems to apply from the day of purchase, not my actual birthday.

Annoyingly the one 60+ privilege I could have really used this week, free prescriptions, doesn't cut in until my actual birthday. But that's life, I suppose.

Style woes

I've gone back to the "standard" tabular indent style for my journal, and the old styles for the friends page, since it's still the one I really like. Is there really no way to make my friends page work like this in the new system? Why is it considered essential to take up the left quarter of the page with a load of crap which I won't normally want to use if I'm just looking at the bloody friends page? And how in Cthulhu's name is this supposed to make any sense on a small screen?

Still hating the new posting page, it defies all logic that this awful font, menuing system, etc. is considered appropriate for text entry.
