Good News, Bad News

The good news is that the foot and road bridge at the end of my road - crossing the railway and tube lines a half mile or so from Paddington - is finally going to be repaired after more than two years of the pavement on one side being closed and other problems.

The bad news is that they're starting on Christmas Eve and continuing until the end of the month, and I suspect that there will be a lot of travel problems with the bridge closed some of the time, Royal Oak underground station on the bridge possibly closed throughout the project, trains on the railway disrupted, and so forth, plus a lot of noise at night etc.

It looks silly, at this stage (having just got home to find an email about this in my inbox) I've has a very quick look at the rules but haven't digested the setting yet, and don't really know more. However, there's a video review that may be helpful:
