Oh Great Cthulhu!

I have been an extremely industrious devotee this year.

In April, I legally changed my name to Randolph Carter (-40 points). In February, I rammed a ship into you (sorry Cthulhu!) (-1000 points). Last week, I recruited [info]nojay as a new cultist (30 points). In August, I rescued [info]brisingamen from being sacrificed (-200 points). In March, I defiled the grave of that traitor, Lovecraft (90 points). In September, I fed [info]spiritrover to a Shoggoth (250 points).

In short, I have been very bad (-870 points) and deserve to have my body used as a host for one of your servitors.

Your humble and obedient servant,

Don't usually do memes, but this one ties in nicely with the freebies I got from [livejournal.com profile] heliograph at Dragonmeet... Two music CDs, A Shoggoth on the Roof and A Very Scary Solstice, the DVD of the all-new silent movie The Call of Cthulhu, and two CDs of PDF files, fonts, etc. for Cthulhoid purposes, all produced by the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society and utterly brilliant, and two Space 1889 plays from Noise Monster Productions on CD. I gave him the St. Trinians DVD collection, a rather nice little set of four films on two DVDs, which I think lacks a certain amount of Eldrich Horror (not to mention tentacles) but does at least have Joyce Grenfall and will hopefully amuse him a little while waiting for the stars to become right...

I've been considering ordering the Space 1889 CD set. Are they worth listening to more than once?

Absolutely! The second one (The Steppes of Mars) is my favorite, but they're all good. They've got full casts, special effects, musical score, and are really good. I regularly listen to them on long driving trips.

I've been somewhat spoiled, having long been a fan of the excellent Big Finish line of Doctor Who, Sapphire & Steel and Tomorrow People audio plays, but I was really impressed with the first play. They managed to get across all the information necessary to enjoy the plot without sounding like an info dump, and the plot was pretty intriguing. I haven't had a chance to hear the second one yet, but it's on my list of stuff I want.
