OK, it appears that Trump has lost at 290-214 electoral votes (the BBC puts it at 273-214), although some of those look a bit iffy to me. I'll believe it when he cedes - or stages a coup or something...

BBC now says 279, with several states still to call.

He could well do his level best to cause mischief, but I don't think he'll get as far as he thinks he will.

I don't think his staging a coup is very likely, but I think it's more likely than that he'll ever concede.

I'm sure he'll fight on as long as he can - unless his party decides to desert the sinking ship and withdraws support, which I don't really see happening.
