Covid update
Apr. 13th, 2023 09:40 am Still not much in the way of symptoms - slight headache, runny nose and occasional cough, that's about it. No fever, slight loss of appetite but that's mostly down to not being able to taste things so well with my nose blocked. But I tested positive when I checked today so it hasn't gone away yet - I didn't actually expect to make a miraculous recovery in less than a week but it seemed like a good idea to at least confirm the first positive.
Fortunately I'm reasonably well stocked up with frozen foods and cans, and my sister has helped with a small shopping run, so I ought to be OK into next week.
To be honest, if I'd had this after a convention five years ago I would have dismissed it as "some sort of con crud" and gone on with my life without self-isolating etc., and probably spread it to everyone I know. The situation isn't hugely better now, a lot of people seem to have caught it at the con, but at least people can hopefully handle the aftermath a little better.
