Jul. 22nd, 2024 06:07 pmOne repeat offer, and one all new, for Battletech, probably the most popular "giant powered suit" combat system.

BATTLETECH READOUTS (all-new)

When I first saw the 2022 offer I said "My first impressions here are pretty good - Battletech has gone through a lot of iterations and it looks like they have settled down as a playable and well-presented system. This release of Mechwarrior is all-new; I can't actually remember much about the last version I saw, except that I thought it was excessively complicated, this again looks like a playable and well-designed system with reasonably straightforward rules - it scores for me by only needing a couple of six-sided dice, rather than the profusion of odd polyhedra some games require. Artwork is pretty good, and does not fall into sexual stereotyping. If you're looking for this sort of game I think this bundle is a pretty good choice."
Mechwarrior : Destiny isn't included in the re-release, unfortunately, the publishers apparently feel that it's outdated. Other contents remain the same. Due to the rush to get ready for the Continuum games con this coming weekend I won't have time to take a look at the new material - comments would be gratefully received.
