The Falklands flypast

Unfortunately the helicopters stayed below the tree line - I got very brief glimpses, but at an angle that made it more or less impossible to get a photo. Some of the slower planes did come my way, but I missed the Red Arrows and at least one other big plane, which I think was the Nimrod but I just couldn't see clearly before it was behind trees. Again these aren't edited at all.



I think these are "5 x Dominies"



And these are pretty obviously the Hercules transports



I think "5 x Typhoons"



And these are "2x Hawks VC10 2x Hawks (2 RN and 2 RAF)"

They were the big plane of the war for Britain!

Apparently not - they weren't listed as participating at all.

The heicopters must have come or been going to a different airbase as they were definitely over the other side of the river and veering further that way when they flew past.

I think that they have a main route which is used by the fastest planes with the slower planes arriving first then diverging from it to keep the route clear while the faster ones fly through, converging later. Yesterday the main route was roughly due West and the secondary route was NW towards me, I presume swinging back to the West once the jets had gone through. Today I think they used the same main route but diverged SW instead of NW.
