Another try at the cover

This is certainly a lot clearer on screen, maybe a bit too stark. I can't seem to identify the font used for the original cover, anyone got a clue?

Just found it, I think - Medium Roman.

And the nearest free font I can find is WAY too wide. Bugger...

Found a match for the wider font being used for Jo Walton's name -- it's Linotype Engravers Roman or something quite close to it; there are probably free knockoffs of it, since there are for most Linotype fonts.

I suspect the skinny font is another one from that family, but I get no hits for "Engravers Narrow" or "Engravers Narrow Roman". It's got a funny mix of serifs, so it wouldn't surprise me if it's something related-but-not-Engravers.

Many thanks - I'll check it out, but on reflection I don't think that font really suits the coin background anyway.
