Interesting finale...

...but I'm not 100% sure I buy Owen's death. Off camera, and in the sort of radiation event that traditionally leads to strange mutations, Ascension, and/or "with one bound our hero was free" plot devices. Or radioactive zombies, of course...

A very good episode anyway!

Also - quite a fun Hellboy 2 trailer here

Well, I found it fairly enjoyment-free except when Spike Captain John was knocking seven bells out of Angel Captain Jack...and I was completely unimpressed by the Big Deaths, because they did that already and then went back on it. Fool me once, shame on them, fool me twice, not going to happen.

But that is, of course, just me.

Have we now completely forgotten that on one of his numerous passes from one end of time to the other Captain Jack was a bad guy?

More than one, I think.

I'm sorry Tosh has gone she was my favourite character. I'm not so sure Owen won't come back. Just before he was supposed to cop it I thought I saw a flash on Tosh's tricorder.

Owen's the obvious one the flange that he is still alive. He only been drowned and radiation poisoned.

We know he doesn't breathe so the drowning isn't likely to worry him,.

I can't reason about the affects of radiation on a dead body - it's dead. MY biology isn't great but AIUI radiation primarily disrupts cell the DNA - we know he can't heal so I can see them arguing that the radiation poisoning doesn't do a lot either.

I was screaming through that section with the reactor, though just scram the thing. Surely any sane designer would allow a manual scram. wikipedia seems to agree with me. And suggests it happens automatically on power loss.

In the real world sure - but that's not how cinematic reactors work!

I was definitely expecting not-quite-explained full recovery for Owen from the radiation.

Also, given how desperate Owen was to save a sick and tired critically ill man, why Jack and Gwen didn't make any more to revive Tosh. Even though they were in the medical bay in a base rife with alien technology.
