On the whole I was reasonably happy with Dr. Who

The plot had to be that Donna and the Doctor would get back together and fight some alien menace - there really wasn't any other way a reunion would work. The bit with them just missing each other at the start began well but went on too long, but once they finally met the chemistry seemed to work reasonably well.

The alien menace had to be the silliest ever, but really cute - I hope it turns out that some miss the mothership and move into the sewers eating people or something, because cute horrors are always fun.

And Rose! Her appearance makes absolutely no sense (if she's called in from another dimension why doesn't she go directly to the TARDIS), but it's nice to see her back. Now if they can only get Martha and Sarah Jane into an episode...

She didn't seem to be really aware of Donna.

And I want to see Torchwood and Captain John versus the Andipose because that would be fun.

You're right - she wasn't aware of Donna as being with the Doctor, I think, but she presumably noticed the alien spaceship etc. and must have realised there was a chance that the Doctor would be around.

Called in from another dimension. Through those walls that are now closed for ever. That only the Time Lords could breach in the first place.

If it turns out that RTD's parting gesture to nuWho is going to be to bring the Time Lords back...I might consider forgiving him. One day.

I assumed Rose just isn't stable enough to be able to last long enough on our earth. So, like Donna, it's a case of looking for incidents where the Doctor might be.

...and what does that imply for the stability of the universes? Given that the show goes on a sort-of-hiatus at the end of this season, I expect events of such cataclysmic proportions as to make "Doc" Smith go: "wish I'd thought of that". Or as much as the BBC budget and RTD's imagination will allow.
