Is there any way to embed a Corel Draw graphic into a Word document without converting it to a bitmap? I thought it was possible but I can't remember how it works.
I'll affirm that that's the usual way if you're bringing over a selection of objects.
However, if it's the entire picture, for finer control you'll want to use the Object... choice to the bottom of the Insert menu. This lets you choose between a document you're about to create or one that's already been saved, and in the latter case whether or not you want it to take a snapshot of the document as it is now and keep it, or link to the original and reflect changes.
(Note, this is for 97-2003 values of Word. If you're using 2007, let me know.)
2007? No chance... 2003 works well and I get it free via work's site/staff license.
Thanks - I'm mostly thinking in terms of putting an illustration in, probably not continuous updating. It isn't essential if I want to mix separate pages from different programs (e.g. Word and Corel), I can do that in Acrobat, but for the Weinbaum book I think there'll be Word pages with Corel illustrations.
