I'm now up to date on all of these shows, and have various random thoughts, all of them spoilery.

First, does ANYONE think that the solution used at the end of Heroes is in any way a good idea? If there's another season I give it about ten minutes before Sylar is back.

Later And it belatedly occurs to me that Peter took Sylar's powers, so should have been able to shapeshift to take his place long enough to clear up the mess, then fake a death.

OTOH, it's nice to see the Nikki clone back in action. She really has some cool powers! Which Sylar will want, naturally.

Pushing Daisies came up with a perfect ending. I really would have liked to see more, but at least they dotted the i's and crossed the t's, didn't leave us with a horrible cliff-hanger, and left the obvious major problem unsolved so it'll still give them room to make more if there's ever another series or film. Hundreds of fans probably went "awww!" at the end, which is a nice change from throwing things at the screen...

Finally, I am delighted to say that I somehow remained spoiler free for Dollhouse and didn't see that one coming at all. Should have guessed but didn't. The question now is if we're finally seeing Echo's real personality, or something that has been carefully crafted to fit with Alpha's plans. Still a little squicked by it all, but looking forward to more.

What was the solution they used at the end of heroes?

I was going to give it another go, but having tuned in to see what direction the new show runner was taking it in, and being subjected to the Ando/Hiro Baby Show, my toes curled and the channel was quickly changed.

And yes, Dollhouse is a remarkably squicky show. And I still can't decide if its in a good way or a bad way.

Nathan was killed - they then mind-wiped Syler to believe that he was Nathan and take his place, including (presumably) relationships with his wife and children. "Nathan" is also setting up a replacement for the Company, to be run by Bennett,

I give this set-up slightly less chance of success than a chocolate teapot in the PG Tips factory...

Never have I seen a dumber collection of characters than the utter idiots that populate the Heroes universe.

Heroes had an interesting ending in some ways but there were too many other options such as resurrecting Nathan using Claire's blood. It's clear they just wanted to set up another return for Sylar. The thing I found annoying is that in setting up volume 5 they're not doing anything new. They're immediately teasing the breakdown of their Sylar plan and then someone else who was dead returns. I think that the reaction to season 2 scared them off doing anything new and now they're just doing increasingly melodramatic and unlikely things with the same stable of characters. Shame really.

Exactly. I liked the return of Nikki-clone, and we did sort of know it was coming, but the rest of it was a real let-down.

I think they're addicted to shock returns. They've had quite a bit of amnesia too. Soon it'll be just like Smallville!

I think this week's Dollhouse reall did it for me as far as being hooked. I am definitely squicked by certain aspects of this, but I think we're supposed to be. And I've enjoyed getting to know more about the secondary characters, finally. But I'm a huge fan of Tudyk, in any form. The last five minutes had me holding my breath.

Definitely - I am really bad at names and faces so I was going "is that thingy from Firefly? Could be..." and decided that it was just about the time that cuddly Wash turned into Alpha.

Between the characters of Paul Ballard and Alpha, I'm hooked. To me, they really raise the bar in the scenes they're in. The last tryst between Paul and Mellie was really, really creepy. Deliberately so, I think, but still. As much as parts of this show wig me out, I'm enjoying the commentary on society in general.
