I had an idea for a Bones / Stargate crossover as a sort of epilogue to The Key to Byzantium, but it isn't really working. But I quite liked this little bit...

"Who the hell was that?" asked Jack Hodgins.

"Radziwill?" asked Brennan. "You've seen him before."

"Not him... the Air Force guy with the SGC insignia on his tunic."

"Colonel O'Neill?"

"O'Neill? Jack O'Neill?"

"You've heard of him?"

"He's some sort of legend, or would be if they didn't classify everything. Didn't you notice the insignia? It looks like a Masonic sign, for Pete's sake! Do you know how many conspiracy theories there are about that? Nobody knows what the hell it means! It's the first time I've actually seen someone wearing it, and when I do it's O'Neill himself..."

Working at a nearby benck, Zack Addy listened intently. He had no doubt that Gormogon would be interested.

I love the idea of a Bones/Stargate cross-over, but, aaugh, I hated the whole Gormogon story-line. Nearly put me off Bones entirely.

I'm not 100% wedded to including Gormogon in the story. It's a possible subplot, not the main theme. But I do love the idea of Hodgins having a nerdgasm over the whole SGC mystery.
