Well, I can't play any musical instrument and got a reasonably complicated tune out of it by systematically creating and deleting patterns on the grid, so I'm moderately impressed.

Thanks! I think. (I had to stop it after a while because this PC really gets upset if it runs at full CPU load for too long.) I produced something which sounded remarkably like some of the 'trance' synth music of a couple of decades ago, repetetive patterns changing slowly as I clicked squares. Fun, definitely.
