Ms. Sladen was my first Doctor Who companion (with Tom Baker), and all others were judged against her. Seems far too young to be gone.

Same here - I've had a SJA story on the back burner for years, can't decide whether to bin it or try to complete it.

Personally I'd try and complete it. It's one of those ways of taking the bad energy of somebody dying, and transforming it.
