One of the speakers yesterday quoted an Alan Moore essay which said something along the lines that the universe wanted humans to admire and worship it - basically, exactly the sort of thing I want to "explain" the habitable solar system in the next release of Forgotten Futures.

The trouble is that I didn't have a notebook with me and have forgotten the title. I think it was only two or three words, beyond that I'm drawing a complete blank.

Anyone know it?

No, but it sounds a lot like the argument in Barrow and Tipler's The Anthropic Cosmological Principle. Do you know that work at all? I'm wondering if Moore could have encountered it and borrowed a bit. . . .

It goes way back to e.g. Kepler, but the Moore quote stated in a particularly concise way which would suit my needs very nicely.
