Just spotted this one, which seems to have some nice features - colour, networking, and duplex, works out at £275 with a five-year warranty, or £175 with cashback. The vendor is offering a 5k black toner cartridge free if the printer is purchased before the 28th of July.

Anyone familiar with them, know of any problems?

It looks like a later version of one a guy at work had (some 3 years ago), they are pretty good (this one also has builtin network, which the earlier one didn't have). No PostScript emulation (none listed anyway), but if you are using it with the supplied drivers that isn't a problem. They seem to last well. Also note that it takes separate colour cartridges (YMCK) so you don't have to throw away a cartridge just because one colour has run out.

With that discount it's going to be hard to get a colour laser printer with that spec. anywhere else. If I were after a colour laser printer I'd definitely be looking at that one.

The only drawback from your usage is that it won't print on CD/DVD (as far as I know only inkjet printers do that), but if that's a minor consideration then no problem.

That's actually fairly low on my priority list - for bulk jobs I use laser labels, it would just be nice for the occasional one-off CD or DVD.

Thanks - the more I look at this the more I like it, I might give it a try.
