My Xmas present
Dec. 8th, 2008 04:58 pmAfter all my vacillating I decided in the end to buy one of those HP Mini-Note netbooks, with 120gb hard disk and replacement RAM for 2gb. Cost me £217.79 including VAT and delivery from ebuyer.com, ought to be with me some time tomorrow. I'm kicking myself I didn't buy the slightly cheaper one Misco had last week, though that was a one-off. My reasoning on this is that if I decide I don't like it I can probably sell it for pretty near this price on ebay; if I do like it I'll sell the Jornada and some other bits and pieces to pay for it.
I want to keep it as a Linux machine - one of the reasons for wanting it is to learn a little linux and use it to test compatibility etc. - so any suggestions on fine tuning it etc. would be greatly appreciated.
