It's a programme. It works, as far as I can tell, on the simple idea that if one person purchases an item they will be interested in any item ever purchased by by someone else who purchased that item....

I'm not sure about that, since if I happen to say I own a specific film it promptly asks me if I want soundtracks or games (neither of which I have ever purchased) not just for that film but a lot of other films, some of which are out of left field.
