Yeah! New things are bad because they're not like old things!
I'm not a huge Who fan: I've watched the shows but haven't obsessed over them. They just look like Daleks to me. IIRC they had different colors before. What's the big deal?
They don't seem to have the same air of menace; the softer lines and overall bulkier appearance just add up to something that's really difficult to take seriously.
They've always looked like upturned 30 gallon trash buckets to me. Do they at least kill the Doctor right away, as soon as they see him? That would impress me.
I was ten the first time I saw the Daleks on TV, and they scared the shit out of me. If they don't look even vaguely scary to me, they've lost it completely.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but have the Daleks seemed less cranky than they used to be? In the old series(es) everyone's favorite killer pepperpots from space were more shoot-threaten-shoot, and now they're more talk & less kill. If they're going to have them elocute, make 'em sound more like Ian McKellan & less like misfiring Tesla Coils... (which would drift even *further from original Daleks, but would give me less of a headache)
I miss the menace & horror of the old series Daleks. The new design & paint jobs aren't helping either, though I did get a laugh out of the olive drab ones w/ little Union Jack decals on them though.
I don't mind that they made them bigger, but the colours don't work for me. As someone said earlier, they look like iDaleks.
If they had to change the colour scheme, they should have gone for something more like an urban cammo scheme. I mean, really, what's the point? From what we've seen, whenever they've given us a Dalek eye view of what's going on, they're all colour blind, anyway.
