Well, that was a surprise



I really didn't expect the Doctor to ditch Amy and Rory. My guess is that they'll be back for the season finale, I really can't see the whole Silence thing ending without them.

Apart from that it was an OK episode but not wildly impressed. I'm afraid they're getting into a bit of a rut.

Lots of mirrors and reflections again, which seems the big theme of the season.

I have maintained from the start that the major theme of this season is identity, while my friend parrot_knight has done some major meta on the themes of religion and faith. The evening's episode made contributions to both, but particularly to the latter.
