Well, that was a surprise



I really didn't expect the Doctor to ditch Amy and Rory. My guess is that they'll be back for the season finale, I really can't see the whole Silence thing ending without them.

Apart from that it was an OK episode but not wildly impressed. I'm afraid they're getting into a bit of a rut.

it reminded me a bit of a Sylvester McCoy / Sophie Aldred / Dr /Ace episode that i vaguely remember. it was about a 'vampire' that could be stopped by someone's unshakeable faith - and for plot purposes the doctor had to break Ace's faith in him in exactly the same way.

It's possible I'm remembering that (though I missed a lot of episodes in that period), which is why it isn't quite working for me.
