Stupid Word problem
Jul. 24th, 2005 07:04 pmI want to number the pages starting at page 1, which will actually be page 3 of the document - the real page 1 is the title page and 2 is the table of contents. The help (which is as usual crap) talks about something called a Section Break, but that doesn't seem to do much. Anyone know how to get this to work?

Date: 2005-07-24 06:39 pm (UTC)Go to the header or footer on page 3 where you want the numbering to start. On the Header & Footer toolbar is a button with a picture of two pages with an arrow below them "Same as previous" which is currently depressed. Click it off & you will have two seperately numbered sections.
If you need more detail let me know (Word is my primary tool at work...)

If you need to figure else anything out, let me know. My Word skills are scary, on account of using it for years in ways it wasn't actually designed to be used over at it's Place of Origin. (Working on UE over there involves far more Word than is really a good idea for any one person's sanity.)
